Your Third Place
Third Place was founded with a rebellious idea and a conventional solution: to become the ‘third space’ for a community of creatives.
Third spaces are great in theory, but imperfect in practice. Coffee shops are too noisy. Libraries are too quiet. Parks are inaccessible out of season. We were students, young professionals, and community-seeking people without a place that felt like our ‘third place.’
We started Organization X to create a place where we ourselves would want to go. By stealing the best from conventional ‘third places,’ throwing everything else out of the playbook, and talking to people who all wanted community but didn’t know where to find it, we created a better alternative.
We believe that a ‘third place’ should be balanced. Sometimes, it should give you comfort and peace. Sometimes, it should challenge you to get out of your comfort zone and change.
We also believe in inclusion and that everyone needs an opportunity to form a community.
